Mid-week winners: LDW 24 under 24

As we hit the half way mark of Learner Driver Week, we bring you five more of our LDW 24 under 24 winners.

These guys are all focusing on kick starting their careers and gaining independence, which is incredibly positive to hear. We are thrilled to hear that Robbie has started his apprenticeship and Chloe is training to be a primary school teacher! Good luck guys.

Read on to find out more about our winners and their useful tips for you…

Alexandria

Alexandria

Alexandria is enjoying her new-found freedom now that she has her licence, she drives to college and also says: “I don’t have to get on the dreaded bus anymore and I can help my mum by picking up my siblings from school”

Top tip: “Pretend your examiner is your teacher so you don’t feel stressed having a stranger in the car with you.”

Bethany

Bethany

For Bethany, having a driving licence meant overcoming her nerves, relaxing and taking a breath. She says: “I don’t have to ask my parents to take me places anymore, and it’s much easier to go to social events that I want.”

Top tip: “Get a good night’s sleep! It’s natural to feel nervous but remember that it is also exciting.”

Robbie

Robbie

Robbie is using his driving licence to better his career. He is wasting no time at all as he started an apprenticeship one week after passing his driving test! He says: “Before I could not have travelled the 40 miles a day. It has allowed me to begin making money and start the successful career ahead of me.”

Top tip: “Be confident and believe in yourself. Don’t let distractions affect your driving and always stay safe!”

Good point about distractions Robbie – here is a very useful blog post on how to avoid them.

Alex

Alex

Alex was nominated by his mum, Barbara - who just like us – can see Alex’s fantastic achievement in passing his driving test. She says, “Alex’s motivation to drive was the winter months, he drives a moped to work at the moment and wants to be able to stay warm and dry.”

Chloe

Chloe

Chloe is using her ability to drive to pursue her dream career as a primary school teacher. She says: “I can now drive myself to my placement in a primary school which is 15 miles away where I help to educate and inspire young minds.”

Top tip: “Get lots of practice, keep studying the highway code and always drive safe.”
